CH Foxglove Spirit of Eldorado, TT, CGC
After tragically loosing all my Mastiffs, I was offered several puppies and Mastiffs from breeders all over the country. They felt my loss and were quite generous with offers. All I knew was that I need a Mastiff at my feet. One to hug and snore beside me on my bed. Laura Hagey of Foxglove Mastiffs offered me a puppy out of her stud, Drake, a Rebel son. She sent me a bitch puppy. I named her Foxglove Spirit of Eldorado and was she was just what I needed. Although I had temporarily lost my interest in showing, I finished Spirit easily. She took BOB over group placing Specials as a 7mo old puppy and several other BOB’s over Specials for her majors. I did show her in the Veteran’s ring. She took 1st place in her class in Sweeps and 2nd in the veteran class at the 2005 MCOA Specialty.
I didn’t special Spirit. As I said, I only wanted a mastiff to hug and sleep on my bed. In searching for a proper mate for Spirit, Julia Kreibs suggested her stud, CH Impressive Starry Night On The Nyal, or “Vinny”. This breeding produced my 6th litter in March, 2003.
Spirit has produced 6 champions: Caly, Gale, Thunder, Maggie, Max, and Passion from her one and only litter. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006!
