CH Eldorado Rebel W/Out a Pause, CD, TT, CGC,
WD
I truly don’t know where to start with Rebel. He was out of my first litter (co-bred with Jeanne Cook of Legendary ). I knew he was a keeper the moment he was delivered into my hands via c-section. He never failed me.
Rebel finished in
style under Mrs. Michelle Billings, taking WD, BOW and BOB over specials
for a 5pt major to finish, at 15mos.
The next day, he took his first group placement, a Group 2, under Peggy Adamson. This made for a short trip home from
Rebel’s show career was matched only by the offspring he sired. He stamped his best qualities on his puppies. His sons carried his size, bone structure and beautiful head. His daughters were feminine and elegant in the ring. He sired over twenty champions, making him eligible for the MCOA’s Hall Of Fame in 1994.
Rebel sired several group placing puppies. He was a well sought after stud, but only bred to quality, health tested bitches.
Rebel was voted by the membership “My Favorite Mastiff” at the MCOA Specialty in 1992 and was also awarded the Collar Award for highest scoring dog in obedience for 1991. He was one of the first dogs that earned the Working Dog title, along with his half-brother, Murphy and mom, Fannie. He earned his CD in four shows, taking third place at the MCOA Specialty in 1991 in Novice B.
Rebel went on to be one of the highest ranked group placing and BOB winners that was breeder/owner handled. He was known for his showmanship and good manners and of course, his type and soundness.
He was awarded an Award of Merit at the MCOA Specialty in 1994 under breeder judge Michael Gensburg. Rebel was retired soon after, leaving his legacy to carry on. And they did.
Rebel was a cherished therapy dog and a wonderful ambassador for the breed.
