Max is owned by Debbie and Jeff Thurston and their son, Jacob. Or I should say, Max owns them! Max was quite a contender in the ring, shown by his novice owner, until he was viciously attacked in the ring by another mastiff. Now on the defensive, Max became harder to show for Debbie, who started having serious health problems of her own. I showed Max to his championship. He took WD and BOW at the RMMF supported show in August, 2005. He finished under distinguished (and much missed) judge Ms. Anne Rogers Clark with another major August 2006. He was Spirit’s 5^th champion.

Max took 3^rd in his puppy sweeps class and 3^rd in futurity at the 2004 MCOA Specialty, owner handled.

In December, 2006 just a few days before Christmas, Max was taken from us suddenly and tragically. He suffered a pulmonary embolus, devastating his family. We will miss Max and his silly antics. He was a wonderful dog.
